Thankfully, she takes care of those quickly. Cleaning your wounds, and making sure they're properly taken care off before bandaging your up.

...even though they would heal on their own with a nice dose of her Vampire blood, but it's the thought that counts.

After that, Alicia tells you more about Kindred society, clan Malkavian and what it means to be a Ghoul. All in her cryptic way of talking, which you'll learn to understand soon enough. Must be the vamp blood...

On a particularly stressful night, you decide to go for a drink in a local pub. Being a Ghoul of one of the Anarch vampires in the city, you know this is the best place to mingle and hear the stories that are making its rounds through the city.

You are called over by Emily, a rather notorious Brujah Ghoul from the area. It turns out she owes a debt to your Vampire Master and wants to warn you for what is going down in Kindred Amsterdam. Apparently there is a deal being made, Sabbat running around making trouble and.. well, that's what Emily tells you, at least.

Letting her ramble for a bit while you drink your beer, you are starting to suspect there might be more to this than you originally expected.

You have been sent by your Elders to gather more information about recent events that are shaking up the city, and who better than the Malkavian fortune teller that just rolled into town, Faria? You are greeted by a shrouded lady, talking in riddles but having some odd insight in events that are to come. 

Besides giving you some hints into the future, warning you, Faria notices you're visibly upset. Thankfully, she's also very emphatic, and helps calm you down, and reassure you that everything will be alright.. 

Whether that is true or not, only time will tell..

Selene is quite different than the Kindred you've encountered so far. She seems sane and is obviously more integrated in human (Kine) society. You meet her a masquerade ball, where you curiously got some free tickets for. When you're approached by Selene, you are captivated by her, and she by you. A fateful encounter, or perfectly orchestrated?

It later turned out that she wasn't just here to look at art, she was send to find you. You, a true patron of the arts, were under suspicion. A strange rumor had started spreading around town, talks of a secret deal and trades of books. Selene was sent to retrieve you, but she instead, after she quickly became more and more enamored with you, whisked you away and Embraced you, making you her Childe. 

Her piercing eyes are the last thing you see before your heartbeat slows, your vision blurs and Selene's voice rings softly in your ears.

When you first meet Callidora, she is all business.You meet her at the Tremere Chantry, and it has been arranged that you get some private lessons in Thaumaturgy, the Kindred form of Blood Magic. Later you will find out this cold exterior is only a facade, but for now she demands respect. Who 'you' are is never really discussed, but it highly hinted at to be either Alicia or her newly made ghoul. 

Calli goes over some basic information about Thaumaturgy, and goes through an initiation process to get you attuned to the discipline. 

This event, this appointment is what will inspire loads of rumors around the city of Amsterdam, of secret trades and Sabbat involvement.

Alicia is your first introduction to the story-line, a Malkavian vampire living in the World of Darkness universe. She has captured you, lured in by your scent, and decided she want you to be hers. She doesn't simply Embrace you, most likely afraid to inflict someone with her madness, but makes you her Ghoul, instead. 

A Ghoul is a human that is fed Kindred blood (which is also called Vitae) and gains a portion of their powers. They will be immortal for as long as they get fed flood (roughly once every month to keep the effects), heal faster and have heightened senses, strength and agility. 

Alicia will ghoul you right at the end, after she tells you all about what it means to be a member of clan Malkavian.

As I stepped back into the club from the hidden entrance behind the alley, I tried to refocus on why I was actually here. Whether or not I truly believed in all those things I said about fate, I couldn’t shake my thoughts from that girl, Vesper, and the chances of meeting someone to once again, remind me of the reason I decide to continue my existence. There wasn’t much time to think about her now unfortunately as Damian met me at the back entrance of the club. “Here.” Damian handed me my dagger belt, which I fastened around my waist. “My sword?” I asked with a hint of annoyance in my voice. He held onto the sword and stared at it as if he didn’t hear me. “She never wanted any of this for you, you know?” he caught me off guard with those words. Damian is a very dear friend of mine. He was a friend and companion to Emilia since before I met her and long before I became Kindred. After she died, he stuck by me and helped guide me through what happened then. “I know. Carrying her sword reminds me of that.” I replied to him. He handed me the sword with the beautifully etched E emblazoned on the sheath and I fastened it around my shoulder. Damian put his hand on my shoulder to stop me before I could take a step away.  “That girl does look just like her. I heard what you said to her. She’s not Emilia, Sebastian. Don’t make the same mistake she did.” He pleads to me with sincerity in his voice. I felt a little angry with him but I quickly let it go because he was right. “Let’s just get this over with before sunrise, please.” I said without meeting his eyes. He nodded back to me, “Let’s”.

The Amsterdam nightlife has been something I’ve been around for a while now, but I still haven’t gotten used to it. After exchanging here from my quiet home in Denmark, life here has required adaptation on my part. Amsterdam is a beautiful city. I was drawn here by my passion for art. There is a wonderful school here in Amsterdam called Rietveld where some of my favorite artists and pieces come from. I’m delighted to be able to go here, even if my art form can be seen as slightly outlandish sometimes as most of my work is street art. Growing up, I spray-painted walls all over Denmark attempting to imitate my favorite artists only using brick and stone as my canvas. It became a signature thing and while I find all art amazing, I was able to find a canvas more suited to me to tell my story through my paintings.

The sheriff of course, is on his right. I've worked as his Scourge for almost 150 years now. He tasks me with the very things that I hate him for, the things that sicken me. This is much to his delight of course. I know how overjoyed he is to see my reactions.

Selene Liselore De Vries was born in Leiden on the 13th of June, 1981. She grew up in the family mansion together with her sister Soe who is 3 year her junior. The De Vries family is what you would call "old money". Living on the wealth that generations before them had gathered, the sisters never had to wish for anything.

Their father, Arjen de Vries, had always been prone to gambling and risky investments. After one went particularly sour they ended up losing most of their wealth. They were still able to live in the mansion, but it was slowly falling into decay because of lack of upkeep and maintenance. 

Arjen definitely couldn't deal with this, and started coping by ways of an alcohol addiction. This only fueled his lust and rage, which he directed at his two daughters. Selene did everything in her power to protect her little sister but in doing so she caught the brunt of the abuse.

She was born in Chambery, France. situated in the south-east of France, 325 miles from Paris. 62 miles from Lyon. It is found in a large valley, surrounded by the Massif des Bauges to the east, Mont Granier and the Chaîne de Belledonne to the south, the Chaîne de l'Épine (the most southern mountain of the Jura) to the west and the Lac du Bourget to the north. Although there have been people in Rhône-Alpes since pre-historic times, the earliest recorded settlers of the region were the Gauls (Celts). Cities such as Lyon were founded by them and the region traded with both northern and southern Europe. Most of the area became part of Roman territory during the invasion of Celtic Gaul led by Julius Caesar and was at various times part of the regions of Lugdunensis and Gallia. Lyon itself became a major city in the Roman Empire.

Humble continuations.

Another attempt at blogging, and this time a more serious one.

I've never considered myself any good in writing. I have a lot of stories in my head but they never quite seemed to come to fruition if I wrote them down. Same with drawing. It's never enough and it always misses a certain spark that makes what is inside my head come to life.

The closest I've come to this is my channel, my video's. I am able to pull these stories from my brain, arrange them in an orderly fashion and from them into video's to share with the world. With you.

So that's what I've been doing on my channel. And so far, I've been able to keep at it (another first).

My next post will most likely be the full Alicia story. Or at least, chapter 1..
